The Northwestern Wildcats on the other hand comes into this one 4-1 with their only loss coming to the undefeated reigning champs Indiana in an one score game. This Northwestern team looked very impressive in blowout wins against Colorado (41-7) and Penn State (34-13). -This Northwestern Wildcats offense has been rolling as they are rushing for over 200 yards per game as well as passing for over 230 a game as well. They are also scoring over 35 points a game while the Spartans offense is only scoring 21 points per game. This Michigan State offense has been stagnant as they rank in the 100s in rushing yards per game and passing yards per game out of all FBS schools. -The Wake Forest Demon Deacons take on the California Golden Bears and this Wake Forest squad has been red hot as they come into this game 5-1 as they have power five wins over Purdue on the road, Louisville on the road, a blowout 57-3 win against Stanford, and a blowout 38-14 road win against North Carolina State and their sole loss on the year comes against the number 3 ranked team in the nation, Miami, a game which they covered the spread in. Quarterback Gio Lopez has been amazing this year as he has already accounted for 19 touchdowns while only throwing one interception. -The key factor in this game comes down to how Wake Forest will dominate the line of scrimmage and make Californias rushing game non-existent. This Wake Forest defensive front is amazing as they allow less than 100 rushing yards per game ranking 17th out of 139 in rush yards allowed per game. On the flip side Californias rushing attack is terrible as they only rush for 92 rush yards per game ranking 135th in the FBS. If California cant get their run game going they wont be able to work off of the play action and will be forced into obvious passing situations and this can lead to turnovers as Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has averaged an interception thrown in each of his games played so far.
